About Me

Born and raised in Cuba, I studied art professionally for 11 years before moving to the United States at the age of 20. As a protean professional with over 14 years of experience in strategic communication, science terminology, web3, content creation, and writing for both the non-profit and for-profit world, I have successfully developed many connections and engaged with diverse audiences. My roles have included office administration, teaching, co-founding Beyond the Buffer, writing for Medium, and serving as the Executive Director and co-founder at The Zeros Foundation. My journey is characterized by a multi-passionate human who loves to learn new technologies, grow, adapt, and communicate, positioning me uniquely for strategic roles in diverse environments.

I earned my Master of Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida, an institution celebrated for its advancements in education and research. UCF’s College of Community Innovation and Education offers a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for leadership roles in the nonprofit sector. The program emphasizes ethical management practices, community engagement, and the development of practical skills in volunteerism, resource management, and program evaluation. My graduate studies at UCF have equipped me with the knowledge and expertise to effectively lead and manage nonprofit organizations, driving meaningful impact in the community.

With a double major in General Biology and Classics (Classical Civilizations) and a minor in Chemistry, my education at UM was both diverse and rewarding. In the past years has gotten more attention because one of its business students, Alix Earle became and still is a social media sensation. My time at UM provided a strong foundation in scientific inquiry and critical thinking, equipping me with the skills needed to excel in various professional fields.

Projects

The Zeros Foundation’s Campaign Incubator Program provided nonprofit organizations with professional-grade creative services at no cost. By offering dedicated on-site photography, high-resolution images, and post-production editing, we enabled nonprofits to create impactful fundraising campaigns. This program helped organizations tell their stories compellingly, ensuring they could sustain their missions and engage their communities effectively. With this program, we offered services to Lotus House, Our Grounds, Students Care, Whispering Manes, and others.

Medium & Beyond the buffer

Projects

As a writer and editor on Medium, I craft engaging articles across various genres including personal essays about my life in Cuba. My work, including pieces on entertainment, film, TV, and unique experiences, attracts over 21k monthly views, demonstrating my ability to captivate and inform a wide audience from different countries.
